That is not much important. But its given some importance. But it is better to have the website in your brand name..

Having keyword in your domain is very important. First it gives you better and fast Search Engine Ranking just by putting little bit SEO Efforts on your website. I have done the same on my website that is why i am telling you this. For Example if promoting a website without having keyword in domain takes 6 months to be in top 10 then promoting a website with keyword in domain name will get top 10 ranking in half of the duration just by getting right on page techniques and little bit off page SEO Techniques.
