I use WebCeo for On page optimization and Seomoz for analyzing the competitors websites. Both the tools are paid but the results are awesome.

The most important tool that must be used by every person performing SEO is the Google keywords tool. This tool gives a good insight on the keyword variations that can be utilized for getting the appropriate results.
